Counseling India assures confidentiality in all therapeutic sessions. Counselors will keep all information disclosed to them in your session strictly confidential. No information from your session would be revealed to anyone, or any company or organization without your written consent, unless otherwise required by law.
Situations that would allow the release of your information include the following:
- If your counselors identifies you as a serious danger to yourself or others, or determines you are “gravely disabled” (i.e. unable to care for yourself),
- Your counselor is required by law to break confidentiality in order to protect you, or protect others from you.
- Your counselor is also held responsible by law to report you to the appropriate authorities if you reveal any involvement in child or elderly abuse.
